Giants and Seedlings

Yesterday I was surprised that the seeds I planted for school started growing. I'm very excited. There's a mix of a Korean plant and poppy seeds but I forget which of the two pots has what so I guess I'll have to figure it out when these guys get a lot bigger.

Battery Park

Yesterday I traveled to Battery Park and found this nice water fountain with tons of children enjoying and playing with the water so I thought I should share that for yesterday's photo entry.

Bitter Mellon

Rice and Nutmeg

At home, when I actually have time to make breakfast, I find myself making a bowl of rice with nutmeg, sugar, some almond or vanilla extract, and milk. It makes for a good breakfast.

Golden Buttons

My father gave me the idea to attach a clasp-button-chain system onto this vest that I accidentally made one size to small for myself. Overall, I think I like the general result.

Pink and Green

Chewing Stick

One thing my dog loves to do is chew on sticks that I originally intend to play 'fetch' with. It seems like fetch just isn't in her vocabulary. This was taken on our last romp around the woods together before I head to college.

Wild Flowers

You can tell that autumn's coming when flowers start to die and the trees start to turn colors. On the road the other day I was already surprised to see one or two trees beginning to turn yellow and red. Time flies.

Sew Sew Sew

Here's the sewing machine I spent most of my nights during this summer occupying. I learned how to sew and experimented only a little bit. I'm a bit sad that I cannot take this to college but sometimes that's better in the long run- I can't spend all my time sewing, now can I? I'll now have free time to pursue some other hobbies of mine which were neglected.

Dried, Pressed, Saved for the Ages

Taking advantage of my sketchbook, I spent a little bit of time finding poppy flowers and pressing them for a few days. This was my first try at pressing flowers and the results came out different from what I would have ever expected.

Poland: The Essentials, Color

One of the things that I loved about Poland was the fact that I had to re-adjust to the time there. Meaning that I finally got to practice using the morning sun (I tend to miss most sunrises).

On my trip to Poland, there were possibly many photo opportunities but, alas, I was not sure of how much space I'd have left by the end of the trip so I conserved how many photos I took. In the end I feel as I got a good set of both documentary photos for myself and hopefully for architecture as well as capturing people and nature in small opportunities.

I'll be back up and updating shortly. I was out on vacation visiting Poland for two weeks. Some spectacular sites to see there. I will upload a few of those pictures as well as what I've been taking since I got home. Until then~
