On a trip to Brooklyn... for an architectural site visit.

Flowers. I absolutely forgot to post my image last night in my rush to get some sleep. I got 7 hours, so I hope my #1 fan isn't too disappointed. :P

Yet again, just another few random shots..
Play Me An Old Tune

I was actually trying to capture a different object and turned around to get this one photograph. Due to the low light situation, all of the other photographs didn't come out nearly as well as this one. I wish the light stayed on longer so that I could have composed a better picture than this one.
Rose for Erica

I didn't feel like going out to take photos today since it's pretty cold out right now with overcast skies, so I found this rose to take a picture of instead. I'm starting to understand metering more.

Went to the city but couldn't find anything good to take a picture of. Oh well, I like locks.
Stretch

Wandering around I'm glad that my college has not started classes yet or else I would have felt very awkward taking this series while people were passing bye.

On a sad note, my 1 gig memory chip died on me the other day. All of the photos taken from the last four days are lost. I'm really sad about this. Well, most in particular, sad that I lost the Lantern series that I took. That was a fun time. I only salvaged the one image that I posted below. Oh well, that's life.

Just documenting what I spent part of my day doing. I used a program called Rasterbator and enlarged a photograph of mine and printed it out on 30 8.5"x11" sheets of paper to put over my bed. I'm trying to make it look more lived in. Hopefully tomorrow will prove to be less distraction with people during the day time.
Lantern, Be My Guide

Smell the Flowers

In my boredom and lack of any other thing to photograph, I tried to do something abstract with high contrast. Be forewarned, the following pictures are extremely out of focus and may thus not be to your liking.

Foreign Land

It snowed once again, to my surprise (I don't keep up on the weather).

We were supposed to get hit with a lot of snow but the end result was only a few inches. It was a wonder to walk through but should likely melt within a few days.
Kill The Trees

There's a new law requiring 100 feet from the center of the power lines to be clear of trees. The area that I was just exploring the other day is now completely desolate. All of the shrubs, grape vines, raspberry bushes, small and large trees are cut down. What a shame.

In hopes to keep up with my photography and to continue to inspire myself, I'm creating this photoblog to document little moments of my life. My camera of choice is my (now old) FujiFilm S7000 Digital Camera. Currently four years old, I think I'll use it for a few more years. Maybe then I'll feel that I can advance on to a film or digital slr.
